DUBAI, 16th November, 2017 (WAM) — Dr. Hanif Hassan Al Qasim, Chairman of the Geneva Centre for Human Rights Advancement and Global Dialogue, has praised the initiative of the Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, to name the most beautiful pedestrians bridge in Dubai the ‘Tolerance Bridge’, which will strengthen and promote the values of tolerance around the world.Al Qasim said that Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid’s statement on the occasion of the International Day for Tolerance, that tolerance and the UAE are two sides of one coin, and that tolerance is a fundamental value of the country and a safeguard for its future development, as well as his statement to CNN where he welcomed anyone who would like to copy the UAE’s model and that what is happening in the region is not instability but a challenge that everyone must face, reflects the aware vision of a wise leadership and helps to promote the UAE’s civilised stature.The Emirati experience has become a global model that many countries seek to follow, he added.He also praised the strategic plan of the Ministry of Tolerance that was declared by Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance, to promote the values of tolerance, which were inspired by the approach and ideas of the late founding father, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
