ABU DHABI, 27th February, 2019 (WAM) — The Department of Community Development – Abu Dhabi organised the second edition of Mojtamaei forum, as part of its initiatives to review ideas and programmes that ensure further lifestyle improvements in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.The forum, hosted at Manarat Al Saadiyat and entitled ‘Community Tolerance’ was attended by over 100 representatives and social entities as well as Ministry of Tolerance employees. The forum included brainstorming sessions, led by ‘Tolerance Ambassadors’ and members of the Abu Dhabi Youth Council. Each team put forward a number of initiatives and ideas that aim to achieve a positive impact on the community.On the occasion, Dr. Mugheer Al Khaili, Chairman of the Development of Community Department, said, As a result of the Year of Tolerance, this forum on tolerance was organised to serve as an interactive dialogue platform enabling social actors to present and implement their ideas, and initiatives during the year of tolerance. This forum also highlights our firm belief that tolerance is one of the key components in achieving an inclusive society.He added, The forum focused on community tolerance, which is one of the pillars of the Year of Tolerance, to confirm the importance of solidifying tolerance, love and brotherhood as core values of the society. This is the goal we seek to achieve at the Community Development Department. Al Khaili also stressed the importance of involving young leaders and taking advantage of their energy to enrich this important event, noting the participation of the Abu Dhabi Youth Council members, and the ideas they presented about tolerance and how to link initiatives with future plans.To ensure the implementation of the outcomes of the forum including the various ideas and initiatives presented, a team of experts from the strategy sector at the Department was formed to work on developing these ideas and ensuring that they are compatible with the outcomes of the Community Development Hub. The team will also coordinate directly with the Tolerance Ambassadors to ensure that they reach their desired goals.
