Introduction

The Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence recognizes the vital role that women and families play in society. Through its various programs and initiatives, the Ministry focuses on promoting the values of tolerance among women, developing key values of tolerance, promoting understanding, and respecting different cultures and communities. This is to highlight women as essential role models and inspirational figures in the community. The Ministry takes great pride in celebrating the achievements and milestones of Emirati women, such as the pioneering role of the Mother of the Nation in supporting and enhancing the status of all women. Her Highness has consistently supported Emirati and Arab women in their pursuit of education, training, and leadership roles.

Description

To comply with global health guidelines, this conference will utilize the advanced technological infrastructure of the country to host a virtual global event that will be streamed through various social media platforms. Invitations will be extended to distinguished Emirati women and international icons and specialists in fields related to women’s values and affairs.

The conference will be inaugurated by His Excellency Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence. This will be followed by a series of sessions and presentations featuring the best international practices and experiences. The virtual format of the conference will allow for the participation of a wider audience and provide a platform for the exchange of ideas and knowledge related to women’s issues.

The main objectives of the conference are:

  1. To showcase the internationally recognized positions of Emirati women and their important role in society
  2. To present the Emirati model of empowering women and enhancing their role in building a culture of tolerance and coexistence in a multicultural society
  3. To develop initiatives, programs, and projects that will enhance the capabilities of women to meet future needs
  4. To explore new perspectives on the role of women in moral education in the context of physical distancing measures
  5. To highlight the efforts of the Mother of the Nation in promoting the empowerment of women
