The Secretary-General of the Muslim Council of Elders, Mohamed Abdelsalam, has taken part in the opening of the second edition of the Eshraqat Festival in Abu Dhabi.
Speaking at the event, which is organised by the Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence, Abdelsalam said, “This Festival, which is held under the theme ‘Tolerance is Knowledge’, is an important opportunity to introduce the UAE’s efforts in promoting tolerance and coexistence especially amongst young generations.”
The three-day festival, which was opened by Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, is held in partnership with 18 different local and international organisations.
